Tenants for several of the dozen or so units remain unannounced but the mall owner listed the following nine future tenants:

•B2;
•Hugo Boss;
•Kate Spade;
•Microsoft;
•Pandora;
•Rockport;
•Ted Baker London;
•Tumi; and
•Weekend Max Mara.

Those nine tenants will take about 24,000 of the 44,000 square feet under the future Nordstrom. The remaining 20,000 square feet of space includes three or four units.

Elletra Communications account executive Lorna Allen confirmed that several more retailers have yet to be announced and told Business in Vancouver that she had “no details” on whether one of those tenants could be Apple, as has been reported on blogs.

Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE:JWN) plans to open its Vancouver store on September 18 and has already started recruiting about 1,000 employees including 44 managers.

It will occupy three floors of the former Sears building – each slightly more than 73,000 square feet. Those floors are the street level and floors 2 and 3. Four above floors with 290,000 square feet will house office tenants such as Sony Imageworks, Microsoft and Miller Thomson.

The basement level is being transformed into an expanded Pacific Centre for the new tenants.

“These stores will enhance the shopping experience for our customers and give them another reason to shop downtown,” said Cadillac Fairview senior vice-president and portfolio manager Tom Knopfel.
